Iron Horse Classic
May 23-25 - Durango
Ed Zink (970) 259-4621
The Memorial Day kick-off to the Colorado Off-Road Point Series. We have a story, pics and complete results. You can go to the official web site, too.

Rage in the Sage
May 30-31 - Gunnison
Gregg Morin (970) 641-0285
The first downhill race of the season. Last year's DH course included quite a bit of pedaling, along with fast singletrack and whoops. Sunday's 20-mile cross-country course is an all-time favorite. Lots of singletrack, challenging technical sections, and tons of sage. Pro and Expert men get to do two laps.

Fat Tire Bike Week
June 26-28 - Crested Butte
Reece Brown (802) 226-7411
Perhaps the best mountain bike event in the country. The weekend starts with the Silver Queen downhill race on Friday. Saturday's criterium, held at Mt. Crested Butte, is usually one of the best. The monster cross-country on Sunday morning includes lots of climbing, heavy doses of singletrack, and aspen. Even if you don't race there's lots to do during the entire week.

Riders Del Norte
July 11-12 - Del Norte
Gerald Duran (719) 657-3570
This event features two back-country courses that will leave a smile on your face - that is if you have enough energy left to smile! Many riders rave that this is their favorite event because of the varied courses and laid-back atmosphere. A great break from ski resort races.

Melee in the Mines
August 7-9 - Telluride
Duke Anderson
The downhill series resumes in one of the most beautiful towns in Colorado. The criterium and cross-country feature long climbs and fast descents.

King of the Rockies
August 14-16
Features the famed Tipperary Creek cross-country course (the best ride in Colorado?) and the most challenging criterium course in the series. The downhill ain't bad, either.

Snake River Challenge
August 29-30 - Keystone
Thane Wright (303) 756-3707
Word of this race has spread through the years and now it is on the CORPS calendar. Fun singletrack, good climbs and fall colors make this a great site for XC and Downhill Finals.
